Add New Journal Voucher
- Hover over the Accounting option in the side navigation bar. Click on Journals. Alternatively, click on Accounting, and then select Journals tab.
- You will be directed to the Journal Voucher List page. Locate the "New Journal Voucher" button. Click on it Journal Voucher form will be displayed.
- Fill the details in the form, specify the details illustrated in the image below.
- Choose the account from which you want to transfer funds. This is typically referred to as the "Credit Account". Also, choose the account to which you want to transfer the funds. This is typically referred to as the "Debit Account". Proceed with the transfer, confirming the selected accounts.
NOTE: In the above image we have illustrated the transfer of 3,000.00 from "Cash Float" to the " Petty Cash". - You have several saving options:
Save as draft , Save it and open a new Journal form. You can also add attachments to the Journal.
You also have the option of creating a journal for multiple accounts in bulk. Follow these steps:
- Click on the Export Account List option (as highlighted in the image below).
- In the exported file, fill in the Debit and Credit amounts against the respective accounts as required. Make sure to copy the Cost Center names from the sheet named CCTR Names (highlighted in the image below).
- After making the changes, browse and select the same file you prepared, then click on Save button or Save it as Draft as per your requirement.
- If there are any issues, the system will clearly display the errors. If there are no issues, the Journal Voucher will be Created successfully.
